Incorrect charges on statement

We occupied a property from johnlee and we were charged an amount (for moving a week earlier) of R1413.33. the date we were supposed to move in was 23/09/13 and we moved in 28/09/13. the reason we were not allowed to move in, inspections were not done on the property which wasnt our fault and Wikus advised we could not move in without the money reflecting on the account, but on the statement sent to usby him shows that it was reflecting on the 23/09/13 which was monday. he then claims that we had a problem with activating the electricity, we have proof that the electricity was activated on the 20/09/13. The nature of this complaint is to make sure that we as johnlee customers are treated fairly and it has not happened that way. Earlier when we went to his place he had told us that we had payed in access over a thousand, but on the statement the only money due to us is R553.34 excluding the R1413.33 that we are disputing.
