Sellmore Homes
Be very carefull when dealing with Sellmore Homes

We decided to make an offer on a stand in Glen Eagles Estate through Sellmore Homes that they advertised on Property 24 and their own website. After 2 months waiting to hear if my offer was accepted with no real feedback but 2 short mails received over the period, I decided to do my own investigation on what is going on with my offer just to find out from the Trustee that the properties was not any more for sale, confirmed in writing to Sellmore Homes and myself, they still refuse to refund my deposit.
Even after contacting their attorney Karen Faurie, that should have my monies in a Trust account, she ignore my mail and phone calls.

Worst of all they still advertise these 2 properties (stands) on their website as for sale Ref: 101003748 and 101003737 to the public.

My last correspondence with the owner of Sellmore Homes was that I will get my money just before we get to court.

Be aware of the corrupt dealings of this business as it seems that I will have to go to court to ever see my deposit again.

Same thing happened to me. I paid 10% deposit with my offer to purchase then soon afterwards they told me it is mine and they asked for the full amount. Which I did pay. I paid to Fourie attorneys. Then there was silence for many months. Eventually I was informed that the house was sold to somebody else and I also found out that my money that was paid in Fourie's "trust account" was not longer there because they gave it to Sellmore, the estate agent without my consent! They should change the name to "don't trust" account!
Then came the agonizing mission to get my money back from Sellmore. I was very worried and phoned them almost daily for a month. I had to listen to many different excuses why they couldn't pay me. They took their sweet time but eventually I was refunded. Don't deal with them! They probably "sell" the house to many different buyers at the same time and then sit on the money for as long as they can or they just keep it like happened to other people. I wrote a complaint to the board of estate agents but nothing came of it ... as usual. I don't know why there is such a board as all they worry about is their fees and they allow Jo Public to get screwed in every hole.
