We are a young couple, 1st time home buyers; we put down a deposit on a house that was in poor condition with the intention of doing it up ourselves. Unfortunately the banks refused to give us the finance applied for because they felt that the house needed to much work. SELLMORE Homes has refused to give us our deposit back - coming up with the most useless, stupid, excuses - none of which is reasonable or acceptable - if they really wanted to they could have retrieved our deposit or at least a portion thereof. The fact is that they refused to get a refund for us because they are heartless and obviously benefited financially themselves. It will take us another two years to save up for a deposit again.
