Harcourts
Occupational Rent

I sold a house on my mother's behalf in mthatha using Harcourts agencies.
My consultant was Zukiswa Khumalo.
We sold the house in May, the process of selling the house was completed on Friday the19th of July.
On the 9th of June it came to my attention that Zukiswa had given the buyer the keys to the house to reside in.
I did not understand this as the contract clearly states that should the buyer decided to reside in the residence then he will pay occupational rent.
My question to Zukiswa was, who signed the lease contract as the house was still under my mothers name, I could not get a straight answer from her.
I then asked her how does she give the buyer the keys to stay in my mothers house without any contractual bindings?
She promised to invoice the buyer occupational rent of R7000 to be paid into my mothers account by the end of June. That did not happen, on Wednesday the 17th of July I spoke to her boss Kim Thomson, who said to me that they WILL invoice the buyer for six weeks rental which I did not under as Zukiswa had said that they have invoiced him already.
All I Want is the six weeks rental of R10500.00 from Harcourts.
