We have been renting a house for R16 500 pm through Only Rental for the past 6 months. We have had endless problems with maintenance since day one. For example, despite the contract stating that the swimming pool will be cleaned before we move in, on our arrival in the heat of December it was so filthy, we could not see the pool stairs. We fished out toys and drowned lizards and later learnt that the (toilet) drain was overflowing and running into the pool. It stayed like that for weeks before being attended to by Only Rentals. We had electric shorts in the house, which remained unattended for months, until we called in an electrician ourselves - despite threats from Only Rental. Our billing has been incorrect for months. Attempts to have matters fixed, have been met by insults and name calling from Only Rental staff - and more delays. It is unfortunate that a company so inept and unprofessional has a near monopoly in the Somerset West market place. To future renters: rather pay 20% more and stay in Stellenbosch (it will work out cheaper over the long run), camp on the beach, do whatever, but do not use Only Rentals. The Only Rental door should be shut in SW - for good.
