Custom Capital is a finance company that do rentals for clients in the office automation industry. A client's montly rental is about R 2000 (excl VAT). Five months before end of rental period, I asked for the settlement amount that was R 14 413-53 (incl VAT). It was about R 3000 more than rental amount x period. Another finance company did a new rental for that client and the paid the R 14 413-53. Custom Capital still needs another R 10 000-00 to settle this rental. I asked for an explanation how they got to this amount. In the meanwhile, the client pays their monthly rental and Custom Capital still keep the R 14 413-53. Maybe the CPA and the Consumer's Ombudsman must take a look at this case!!! The client still keep this equipment and pay the monthly rentals BUT Custom Capital also keep the R 14 413-53. Is that legal???
