A payment was made (via my credit card) for two infringements on 28 January 2011 amounting. On the same day, the same infringements were paid for by cheque (by a relative of mine). Both the aforementioned payments were processed and thus the JMPD was paid twice for two infringements of which the former (of the aforementioned) was to be refunded.
I subsequently took the matter up with the JMPD and have been sent from post to pillar and provided with empty promises in getting the matter resolved. This has been on-going for two years and is becoming somewhat of a frustration as I am not getting any assistance whatsoever. Getting in touch with the relevant parties (telephonically and physically) has also proven to be near impossible.
The irony in this is that should I refuse to pay any fines based on the above, it would be lawful for me to be arrested. Government should really consider the same for the contrary.
