South African Police Service
Original Copy of Basic Training Certificate

I enlisted with the SAPS on 11 July 2005 and attended police basic training which concluded on 15 December 2005. I continued to undergo my field training at Giyani Police Station which started in January 2006 and concluded in June 2006. I commenced with my probation in July 2006 and completed it successfully in June 2007. Other people I have attended training with have received their certificates. An official from Training Division in Pretoria once claimed that my certificate was amongst others which were returned to SASSETA for correction. When I enquired from SASSETA they told me that my certificate was issued and it did not have any errors. I have tried several times to request my certificate from the SAPS without success. I have also requested a copy from SASSETA as the issuing authority but they advised me to request a copy through SAPS as their client. I have since left the SAPS but still believe that the certificate is due to me. I do not know what else to do as I have nothing to show for my basic training when applying for other jobs. I was member no. 18323669 attached to Mahwelereng police Station.
