South African Police Service
Unaccaptable service

I went to the police to report an incident where my friend was manhandled by bouncer at the club Springboks, Stellenbosch. We were informed that cannot log a report. They said that they could only help if she was sober, as they thought she was drunk when she was only emotional after the incident. They sat there & ignored us. Staff on duty was Constable Isics, Mpiti & Siko. I waited for shift change. Constable Siyothula then started to take the report however stopped doing this when Captain of day shift told him to stop taking the report because she was drunk. Again, she informed that she was not, that she was emotional. The Captain refused to provide us with his name & walked off. Awhile later Constable Siyothula & Florence said they would continue to take the report. This was being recorded by me as this was unacceptable treatment. Florence saw this & got outraged, saying they will no longer take the report & persued me to take my cellphone saying profanities (eg "jou fokking doner"). She was in front of the door wanting to know why he wanted to take the cellphone, which he had no grounds. He shoved her out of the way. I realised we were going to get no help from the police.
