Metro Police
Assistance during car accident

Constable Tebogo Maponya, assisted me when I had an accident. He stopped the drunk people who wanted to start a fight with me as I was a female and they were males. He took charge of the whole situation, as I was traumatized in the car, did not even remember what to do after an accident. He contacted the Metro Office and they sent vans with quiet a few officers, they all helped and asked me questions and after that told me to got to the nearest SAPS to do an accident report, When I got there no one wanted to take charge of my case they kept on passing the buck. I was told to wait for the van which was going to go to the Hospital with me before before they help me with the accident report. I waited for over 30 minutes because they were telling me that they didnt know what time is the van coming back and I should have came to them with a Metro Police officer who was at the accident scene and they refused to attend to my case. I left the police station very frustrated and when I got home I contacted constable Maponya who calmed down me and told me to come to his office the following day and he helped me with the report and I was very happy with his service. He loves his job.
