I had a very horrible and scary experience in Kalk Bay one night when my boyfriend and I went out to Cape To Cuba and had parked in the parking bay next to Cape To Cuba. We were busy leaving the area and I was getting my wallet out to pay the car guard when he popped up at the window and demanded money. He told us that it costs R5 to park in the area and we cannot leave without paying him. When we asked him where the sign is, he said there is no sign but we must still pay. He then started getting aggressive and swore at us. We were on the verge of driving away when he ran up to the window again and told us that if we ever park there again we will see what will happen to our car. Are these car guards even properly employed? What if this happens to tourists? I don't know who exactly I should complain to so hopefully someone who can help will see this.
