Not answering multiple calls

I am shocked at our police system. Some one was breaking into my moms house, she tried phoning 10111 with no avail. Then she called me her son who also phoned 10111 also no answer. I then drove to my mom while my girlfriend tried to get the police, by phoning 10111 they did not answer. She then phone wynberg police. Who first were not sure if it was their area. Then they said sorry not our area. Then she phone dieprivier who was helpful enough to give her the phone number for grassy park who then redirected her to lansdowne police station. Is this what our country has come to, where tax paying citizens are left to fend for ourselves while police would rather pass on a problem than assist public members
