I was also told me divorce settlement would take 60 days. This was in fact stated in my legal documents as given by the high court. With endless emails and phone calls to the GPAA, it is clear they just brush the delay off due to their back log of work. Now my question to them (which they very conveniently don't answer) is this: if a date is given in a court order as the legal time frame, how can they disregard those legal instructions as set out by law? and worst off all get away with very clearly being in contempt of that court order? I wish I had money to take this matter of them disregarding the law so blatantly on as I am on of many people who are dealing with this. weather they have a back log or not, the law is the law... but clearly in South Africa, it is just another laughable matter, we have no legal system. our rights are clearly disregarded!! This is unacceptable!!!
