My electricity meter died in June. It took months and months to get a new meter - in the interim I was charged nearly R5000 a month because they "estimated" my consumption at that rate - as opposed to the R2000 I usually pay. Finally after hours and hours on the phone someone replaced the meter - it has now been well over a month and it has still not been "connected" to the system - I called today and got hold of Justice Mushwana who is completely incapable of dealing with complaints. He told me there are processes, I should not be calling in all the time as this had an impact on elevation timelines, and I had no right to be irritated. This man should not be customer facing. He then gave me his supervisors name and a number that does not work. I am running out of patience here - is there anyone there that is accountable?
