I have a live-in nanny and an 18 months old baby, and it's just the 3 of us living in a flat. My electricity bill this month came up to a whooping R1014. Even with the tariff increases, I refuse to believe that the consumption would amount to such a high amount, I called Impact Meters to enquire and I was told to have the caretaker open the meter box and take the reading myself and then call Impact Meters again to dispute the invoice. I am appallled by the rude manner in which I was treated for querying the amount which I have never had to pay for electricity consumption, not with a houselhold of just one individual during the day. At least please attempt to get educated people who understand customer service if you can't get professionals to do it.
