My electricity was disconnected on the 4th September, without any warning. It was also disconnected before the statement due date which was on the 6th September. Anyway on the morning of the 4th, I went to the municipality to pay and I was promised that reconnection will happen within 48 hours. I explained to them that I have an infant at home and need reconnection as soon as possible. On the 7th of September when I still had no electricity, I went back to the municipality to investigate why I still had no electricity. At that stage, my son had developed diarrhea because of the change in his diet, since we had no electricity. I took him to the doctor and gave the municipality the doctor's note to prove that I require electricity urgently. I was promised that electricity will be reconnected that day. It is now the 9th of September and I still don't have electricity and I'm scared that my son's condition will get worse. I have even suffered additional losses because all the food in the fridge has since rot. The municipality is really playing with our lives.
