On 13/08/2013, I reported the lights in our street as faulty (not working at all). After holding on for so long, I finally got through to a call centre agent and was promised that my complaint will be seen to. It has now been 3 weeks and the City of Cape Town electricity department has not come to fix the 2 street lights. I contacted them after a week as well and was told that my request was still in progress. The malfunction of the street light poses a threat to the community as people are being robbed due to the darkness and I have made this point very clear when I phoned to report it.
I feel that this problem could have been seen to ages ago but it seems that the relevant deaprtment is just not interested.
The 2 non-working street lights are situated in St Alban Street, St Montague Village and I was also given a reference number, 1005270510.
I hope this complaint wakes the Electricity department up as this extremely BAD service which is no service at all!
