On 19 April 2013 I notified the City of Cape Town that there were a number of street lights which were not working in Second Avenue, Harfield Village.
I was extremely concerned from a security point of view as dark streets are an open invitation to would-be criminals.
The very same day I received an acknowledgement of my mail.
On the 23 April I received another mail advising that action would be taken and was provided with a reference number.
Would you believe that yesterday evening, all the faulty street lights had been repaired and Second Avenue is once again in the light.
