I have been in receipt of the Old Age Grant since October 2001. Until April of this year, it was deposited into my ABSA ACCOUNT every month. As from April 1st my monthly Grant was to be apid into a new Savings Account with GRINDROD BANK (Account No. 2477178475) - no conditions stated or implied. My Savings Account was duly credited with the April, May & June Grants. The April Grant was transferred to my ABSA ACCOUNT by CPS at my request. Later when I went to the new ABSA ATM to transfer my May & June Grants, the FUNDS had disappeared. The GRINDROD BANK ACCOUNT in my name reflected a 'NIL' BALANCE. The matter could have been resolved immediately but the CPS and the Local SASSA OFFICE (NABOOMSPRUIT) did not do so then or subsequently - without any explanation. THIS GRANT IS MY ONLY INCOME. I RECEIVE NO REMUNERATION FROM ANY OTHER SOURCE. I am now in the red, unnecessary expenses are being incurred and my health is being impaired. Please help!
