Report a water supply problem to the Ekurhuleni Call Centre on the 21st of August - no water pressure, hence no water. Reference number 859111. On the 22nd I phoned 4/5 times to get a progress report on my query. Everytime the guy at the call centre says they see my problem and will escalate it higher up in order for the contractor to come and fix the problem. Today is the 23rd and I phone every hour the call centre and they promise me their team leader will call me to give an update - still waiting. One of the guys at the call centre even given me a contractor cell number and on phoning the guy he tells me he is not a plumber. It is 12:22 and still no report back, nobody had come and fix the problem or give me any indication what is the progress on the contractor. We are now out of water for 3 days and weekend is looming and municipalities has the habit to knock-off at 12:00 on Fridays. The service and communications are absolutely poor and chaos. We have useless people in charge of service delivery. I had a private plumber out yesterday to come and tell me what is the problem and they arrive here in no time, but cannot touch the meter becuase it is munucipal property.
