I made a phone call to the CoJ today to try to find out what was happening with my water account.
I got through to a very friendly young woman who told me that my Electricity had been cut off. This was somewhat odd since we have Pay as you Go Electricity and I was actually calling about my Water account.
I told her so and she promptly said that my water had been cut off.
I then asked her how she knew since I had not given her my name, account number, address or any other information. Her response was - oh sorry - well then it hasn't been cut off.
When I told her about my query, she asked me very politely to hold.
For ONE AND A HALF HOURS!!! Eventually my phone cut off (Telkom lines) and I couldn't get through again.
