I phoned through a complaint to Metro Police Durban at 7:56pm Sunday the 14th of July to complain about noise coming from the swimming pool area of a building next to me (depending who's on duty, I might get help or otherwise the following scenario occurs). I was told 'okay, we'll send a van'. I then phoned at 10:14pm to ask if someone had been to the complaint and was told 'no we only have one van and it is attending to accidents', so I said okay and continued to wait. I phoned back at 12:11am on the 15th July to find out if someone had gone to the complaint only to be told 'It's private property and we can not help, go speak to the trustees or supervisor'. It is not 12:45am and these guys are still making a noise not giving a that people need to sleep for work in the morning. I am really disappointed in metro, I expected more from them especially when dealing with people making noise pollution... Clearly maybe if I offered them money or if it was their family members having to deal with this; they most probably would have sorted it out a long time ago... I have lost all respect for metro police...
