I applied for 2 copies of my daughters full birth certificate, on 26 November 2011. I am still waiting for the documents to arrive. I have made 6 trips to the offices in Umgeni Road and each time I go there, I am told that I must wait for the SMS to "come to my phone" or that "we are very busy here and we can't do anything about this problem". This situation is unacceptable! I am unable to apply for a passport for my daughter without the necessary documentation and the documentation, which I had to pay for upfront, simply doesn't exist. I think I have given the department enough time to get their act together! Where are the documents I paid for and how much longer is it going to take???
