I applied for Unabridged Birth Certificates on the 22 August 2012. I was assured that I would receive them in Maximum 12 Weeks time. Once this time period had elapsed I returned to the Department of Home Affairs in Umgeni Road Durban to escalate this to and urgent query. After many promises still nothing. After one of the many calls that I had made to the call centre they advised me that they could not find documents for both my husband and I. I was advised to fill in a DHA24 and DHA288 which we did. We were assigned case numbers (because our request were urgent) And still nothing. I am really tired of calling and being told please call back in a week, or my supervisor will escalate this. Is there anyone that can help?
Since the 22 August 2012 I have called the call centre 23 times. I think this is now getting out of hand. I am terribly disappointed in the Department.
