I have been listening to "our call centre is experiencing high call volumes, please wait for next available agent" for over an hour now and still going. Why not just be honest and say "our systems have crashed again, please consider solar energy so you do not need to bother us on Sundays"
This is really a sign of absolute incompetence at management level. There should be a totally redundant fault reporting system in place, not some server out in the sticks that relies on City Power for power and apparently only one data connection, and obviously no one monitoring that the system is working or not!!
I do not expect a response as this is not easy to respond to other than to admit total mismanagement, but lets see what happens
