Over the past month I have had several power cuts, sometimes 4 times a week but since last week Thursday (it is now Tuesday) there have been several power cuts in the Honeydew area. Every night, every morning, every time it rains. I have had one response from the City of Johannesburg on twitter saying that it was due to cable. I can understand if one incident was due to cable, but not reoccurring cuts sometimes even twice a day for several hours. City Powers online fault logging, is a pathetic system that doesn't work. You log your problem in their system and they're supposed to give you a status on it, the only time my status switched to "resolved" was when it realized I had logged two power failures in one day, it only switched to "resolved" because it was a "duplicate", even though I was experiencing two power failures. There is also never someone answering the phone at their call centers! no matter which part of the day or night you call, they are always "experiencing high call volumes". I can understand if it were one or two cuts a month due to the fact that its still an area that is developing, but every single day, sometimes twice a day, is appalling.
