Telephonic prepaid meter fault reporting

I am disgusted... Facing a 3rd night with no electricity! The reason? power outages in the Melville- Richmond area (last 2 nights) resulting in an error on our City Power prepaid meter - which can no longer communicate with the grid. Called City Power all day report the error number. 011 490 7000 - never gets answered, 011490 7553 the bored-sounding operators take turns sending me on a telephonic wild goose chase : 0860 562874, then 0113750961, then 0113759079 (City of JHB numbers for a City Power meter error???), then 011490 7808... none of these lines ever get answered. They finally give me 0114907484 somebody answers, tells me its the wrong department and tells me to DRIVE to City Power in Booysens in order to report the fault. When I get there its a 5 min process of jotting down the error number and capturing my name, phone and address. This COULDN'T be done by phone? I''m informed that I'm not the only one to complain about the telephonic service and that if future I should drive to Booysens to report faults??? I WORK IN PRETORIA!!! Sent home with a reference number and informed that a technician will attend to the query in 24 hours. Work day lost to reporting - no power!
