I requested entry into the "Boland & West Coast" telephone directory via email on 13 August 2012. According to Trudon records, contact was made the following day for the first and only time whereby the Trudon Rep/Agent - in my opinion, verbally coerced my fiance to agree to a contract for the service of an electronic directory insertion at a cost of R159.60 pm. I consider this coercion as TWICE during the recorded interview, the original request for a PRINTED ENTRY was repeated. The Rep/Agent on both occasions continues to advance the sale of unsolicited product (Additional Electronic insertion)
As a Telkom Shareholder, I am further disturbed by this display of "hard -sell" by the fact that the first account was only rendered to me after 6 months when the account has escalated to R638.40
I am further of the opinion that the manner in which this product was "sold" is at the very least unethical if not illegal.
