My DSTV did not have a signal. Called Electro-Sat, said they would come out and check, call out fee is R390. I agreed. They arrrived, used my ladder and replaced the "point" @ R300 installed a new "LNB" @ R375 a total of R1065-00 which I paid in cash. The installer Kallie also said that I would need a new DSTV decoder in future as mine is very old and the Dish is rusted.
I am a widow, when I informed my son, he ask why they did not offer to replace all new. I called them and was informed that a new DSTV decoder, dish and installation costs R650. Lillian, said she would find out why I was not given the opportunity to rather go that route. She did not call back, I did, asked speak to the owner Paul, informed that he was busy and would call me. - Nothing. I sent him a fax asking him to contact me- Nothing. Spoke to the installer, he was not aware of new installation price.
This is unethicall, they are just out to make money. How can Multichoice have them as a credited installer?
