I paid Exclusive Hire, for the use of furniture prior to a event on 19 March 2012 & was assured that delivery will be anytime before midday. Unfortunately this was not the case, as by 14:30, all of the furniture was still not at the venue!
I appointed staff to assist with setup & due to this delay, they were left standing around until around 3pm when the furniture was eventually all there.
My client arrived at the venue around 15:30 and was extremely upset that set-up was far from complete! The event was meant to start at 17:30 & as a result of the above delay, I had to pull in hotel staff to assist. This is extremely upsetting, not to mention unacceptable as my company's reputation took a knock!
I called the Exclusive Hire office several times & were given tons of excusess. A manager eventually called me be back around 14:00, to say goods will be delivered before 3pm.
I wrote to the company requesting a percentage as refund (about a week ago), but have had no response at all!!
Due to Exclusive Hire's slack service, I've incured extra cost! Will never use Exclusive Hire again!
