SA Post Office
What's the truth?

I had to post a parcel to NZ. Because of the postal strike, OR Tambo PO and Northriding PO suggested I post it via EMS Couriers. It would cost more but would get to NZ within 3 - 4 working days. I was led to believe that EMS was an independent co, but I was to. I posted the parcel on Wed 13/3/2013 at Northriding PO, they told me the parcel would be in NZ within 3 - 4 working days. On Mon 18/3/2013, I went onto the internet to track the parcel, but noticed it was still at Northriding. I phoned EMS (011 961-6006) to find out what was going on. I was told that because of the postal strike it had not been collected. When I said that I was led to believe that EMS were independent couriers and I had been charged more for the parcel so that it would go via courier, all she said was "oops", and she gave me the name of one of the managers Mr Masheri at 011 961-6012 (his direct line). I have tried 4 times today, the phone just rings. I am rather unhappy, I have been to by the PO, paid more believing that the parcel would leave SA and be in NZ within a week. Is this another to get extra money out of the public without adding value? [URL Removed]
