This is a warning to anybody buying Eurolux products... I bought 16 eurolux Halogen Spot R50 bulbs two months ago, as we replaced lighting in our house (all the new fixtures are Eurolux mini disc spot lights). As of this morning ALL have blown (five blew within the first week of fitting). Recently two of these bulbs shattered and physically shot out of the light housing, one of them hitting my wife as she switched on the light. The other one, last night, narrowly missed my child as he switched the light on. I have been replacing the Eurolux bulbs with the Osram equivalent, and the Osrams are working without any issues.
Additionally to the afore mentioned bulbs, we bought 2 lava lamp bulbs, for use in the kids lava lamp, both lasted a maximum of 6 hours.
This is completely unacceptable from a product that has infested many outlet stores. Their competitors (Osram), manage to produce a superior product, certainly in this segment of lighting.
