Deducting money after cancelled

I canceled my application within 2 days. Then I suddenly had to
Pay R550 to cancel it and this is after they told me
If I cancel within the next 5 days they WONT deduct anything.
They also did NOT mention anything over the phone about paying
R550 if I wanted to cancel!!! Go listen to that conversation please!
So now they are steeling money from me!!! Every month!
