Our family (Im from JHB) were disappointed twice at different occasions in the last 6 months by Katberg. Last September, we were booked for a long weekend at Katberg Golf Estate. We were told when we made the reservations, that a wedding will be happening on the Saturday of that weekend, just to inform us in the event that we may have a problem with, which of cause we had none. The month before we were contacted to say that the entire hotel and resort were closed now for the weekend due to the wedding taking place. We were upset about it, but we were moved to the Arminal Hotel at Hogsback to accomodate us. 6 months later, the same thing happens. We are or were booked for the weekend of the 22 March 2013 and were informed yesterday, "Sorry we will be now closed due to a government contract to host training for students". I mean "Hello", is this the actual reputation that Katberg has, to just disappoint and inform their booked clients that "Sorry, we have something else happening now and we can move you somewhere else". If I wanted to be somewhere else, I wouldve booked there. I am still waiting for the manager to return my call. Such shocking service!! I will never return to Katberg
