I opened an account with Msukaligwa Municipality in February 2021 for the apartment I was renting. The apartment was not in good condition, and I had to move out within a month. I canceled that account since I had moved out and found a new place. I went back to the municipality to close that account. A new account was opened for the new flat I moved into at the beginning of March 2021.
I then began receiving SMSs stating I was owing the municipality. I went back to their office in February 2024 and produced proof that I had closed the account at the end of February 2021 and was even refunded my deposit. I was again told the matter was resolved.
Again, I am now receiving SMSs stating that I am owing for the very same account that I have been told twice was closed. I tried calling but to no avail. No one can tell me what is going on with the said account.
