Long story short as this isnt the complaint at hand:
My Renault Scenic 2 wouldn't start and after advice from a Renault dealer i jumpstarted, but alas it still didn't start and once towed to the repair dealership I was told that I should never have jumpstarted it because now the electric fuse board is blown and that you not supposed to jumpstart these cars.
After forking out R9000, I thought that it isn't particularly fair for a manufacturer to assume the consumer knows not to jumpstart the vehicle especially when there is NO such message existing in the owners manual NOT to do so.
I decide to phone Renault customer care to bring this matter up with them only to be rudely told off by a lady who told me her name was Sade The brand manager in a sarcastic way, using phrases such as "i know where you going with this and no its not gonna happen so deal with it or go to the ombudsman"
She was unhelpful and abrasive and told me that im at fault for jumpstarting the vehicle and that Renault have no obligation to tell consumers that they shouldnt jumpstart the vehicle.
Her attitude was terrible and dismissive, not the sort of thing you expect from a customer CARE service.
