Today I received your statement of account claiming that my business vehicle passed through your e-toll gantry in Gauteng on the 2nd of January 2014, this, whilst I was on the beach in Durban... :-)
I wish to highlight a few facts for you. Firstly, I live in Durban not Gauteng. My vehicle has never even visited Gauteng once in the 3 years I have owned it. I called your wonderful call centre and was advised I could obtain photographic evidence of the violation. Well I have spent more than 12 hours trying to access this photo and needless to say your website just simply does not work. Your "web designers" have clearly not tested the functionality of the "Check for Violations" page. Your call centre agent then indicated that I must complete a bunch of forms, go to police stations and get affidavits drawn up etc. and can only submit all this via registered mail. Seriously? you spend millions on a system that clearly is flawed and then you cannot even accept electronic documentation in the year 2014...
I refuse to pay your e-toll bill, and you are welcome to challenge me in court. I am confident that my tracking company will prove that my vehicle was in KZN at the time.
