On the 2nd of January I booked my car in for service at McCarthy Gateway. I had asked them to check the engine fan, dim light & hard start, I was later contacted and advised there was low pressure from the engine and further test needs to be done but my car will be ready in a week. A week later I was told the engine is faulty and cannot be repaired I then asked for an e-mail detailing the damages and costs for repairs, after countless follow up I finally received the quotation three weeks later, the total quotation was R72, 993.06.(insane) and I cannot drive my car it must be towed from the dealership should I decide to move it somewhere else and there is a diagnosis fee which must be paid before I take my car but no one bothered to let me know of all the charges and risks before stripping the engine. I drove my car into that dealership I didn't tow it in and therefore expect to drive it not tow it. I was not advised of the diagnosis fee therefore I not going to pay that amount. and on the recently sent quotation my details and vehicle model are incorrect. So much has gone wrong and I don't trust them anymore... not to mention my frustrations of taking public transport everyday
