Toyota
I had to pay for the dealerships mistake

On 09 Sept 2013 my car died and couldnt start. We towed it to Toyota Vaalpark for them to quote on the problem. On11 Sept2013 they phoned me with a Quote for R61730.13 for the repairs on the engin. According to them the engine broke due to poor servicing records and oil pressure that broke the valce (under correction with terms). I explained to them the car was in for his yearly service on 08.10.2012 with them (there was about 28000km put on the clock) and also inquered why my engin/oil light of the car didnt go off to show there is a problem. There responce was that the car was suppose to came for another service.( on the invoice off the prevoius service next service16500km/yearly) and they coundnt give me a correct answer as to the oil/engine warning light did not go on. I feel this was fault due to incorrect information given by the dealership/machanic and a manufacturing problem from toyota that the engine broke. I had to payR2280.00 in order to recieved my car back (engin open), wich i feel was unnessasary due to the fact that toyota is responible for the engine breaking in the first place. I also feel the quotation overpricing as i can get a new engin for R10500.00
