We've had a problem with illegal connections I. The area of Protea South for as long as I can remember, we've been through almost all the motions in trying to resolve this problem, we've called both the police and eskom for assistance with the matter, with no avail, this is a reoccurring problem, Eskom has handed in the towel and this leaving us to fend for ourselves. Now we struggle to even get service in the area, we report a fault and the technicians do not arrive within the advised turn around time, instead they say that the problem has been resolved and when we call into the customer care line, we're advised that the problem has been resolved where as it has not been resolved. Basic services is all that we ask for, we're a small number of people who have houses in this area, the rest if the area is an informal settlement, this problem was even highlighted on Morning Live on SABC several years ago and we were promised a way forward but things have only gotten worse. We need a way out, I study part-time and in need of electricity because I need to use a pc for practical so my younger sister is in high school, this issue is no longer tolerable. Please assist in any way possible.
