Eskom
Application for a supply of Basic Pre-paid Electri

I was born in Wartburg, KZN. I grew up in a Lutheran Mission called Pella, Windy Hill Road in Wartburg. Some years ago a church was electrified, a parsonage was later electrified and later a school. They all use pre-paid electricity. Our home is the only one that is not electrified. I submitted an application in March this year (2013). Eskom sent my brother a message saying our area is not a pre-paid area. We must instead opt for a conventional package which would cost us to install. I had to prove to them that the church, parsonage as well as school uses pre-paid electricity. It was as if they were going to do something about it. I have been referred by Eskom call centre to Wartburg Service centre for several occasions without any assistance. Now lately, I complained to the Umshwathi Mayoral Office who could not be reached via E-mail. I sent the same complaint to Eskom Online. I was replied by a lady called Heleen who gave me a new reference No. 95155385 on 13 September. This she did after I took my time and wrote a sketch of the mission as a whole. They have now cancelled the application claiming there is not enough network in the area. Please check with them for me to the bottom
