I was lent a Garmin GPS and was amazed at how it kept me up to date with the speed limit on whatever road I was travelling on. I determined to get a GPS and after some research bought a TomTom Via 130.
Sadly since acquiring this it has consistently given me incorrect speed limits, which have resulted in financial loss (Discovery Insure penalties and fines). When I queried with with TomTom they responded with a mail that told me to correct the speed limits whilst driving by tapping on the device, and inputing the corrrections!!!
Surely a company that has in depth and accurate maps of everywhere can also put the correct speed limits into the software!!
they have also requested in the same mail that I should report the incorrect speed limits to a web site!! This is your job TomTom! If Disciover Insure can get the correct speed limits from the municiplities then surely you can!!
I want my monty back or I want TomTom to fix their inaccurate devices and software.
