We play Action Cricket every week at the Randburg arena, and we normally looked forward to this just to get away, socialise, compete and have fun. What we have been findinding, week in and week out is the terrible umpiring decisions against the teams of Colour, and this happens more often than not against teams that are predominently White. When we do raise these issues with management, they make excuses instead of setting aside time to come and view these games and give our grieviences some importance. We pay thhe same amounts of money as anyone else who uses the arena and we would like to get the same respect as everyone else. When we complain to the umpires, they target us, as individuals for questioning them, resulting in victimisation. I am very disappointed at what has been happening here. This is not just one isolated incident and this continues. last night I was Branded a Complainer, but the reality is, if they addressed our issues in the first place, we would not be in this situation. When I mentioned that I would complain on this Hello Peter Website, the Manager had the audacity to say that this will bring more people to their arena as this gave them free publicity...
