Deposit paid, No service and refusal to reimburse

Dewaal van Wyk owns and operates Private Pools, a company operating from address 115 Erasmus Straat, Raslouw providing advertised services relating to the installation and maintenance of swimming pools. A quote was requested from Dewaal van Wyk for the installation of solar heating panels for the swimming pool at our residential address. The quote was received and was accepted and a deposit of 80% was paid via electronic fund transfer to Dewaal's Standard Bank bank account as stated on the quote. Dewaal indicated that installation will take one, maximum two days. Installation was to start on 25 October 2013 and completed by no later than 26 October 2013. Dewaal did not arrive at my address for the installation on the agreed day, and since then nor my wife or I have been able to contact him, and he is not responding to any of our mail or SMS messages. I will not recommend anyone make use of his services, or at least do not pay any deposit as stipulated. Up until now we have not received the deposit back as requested. Considering laying a charge of / with the SAPS as Dewaal is not forthcoming with the reimbursement of the deposit which he is not entitled too.
