Fitted two front shocks (Monroe) at cost of R2500 on my Renault Megane at Tyremart N1 City on 2 Nov 2013. Requested a test after fitting. Was advised to bring in after a week to allow settling. Shocks tested after a week and found to be faulty. Tested on separate machine in Tyremart's Milnerton branch this morning and confirmed to be faulty. Am concerned that brand new products released by manufacturer without adequate Quality Control being done. Would like to caution fellow motorists to check soundness of replaced shocks with the fitment centre after replacing shocks. This could lead to a safety incident due to manufacturer negligence. Thank you for excellent service to Gary, Maud and Garth at N1 branch and Darryl and William at Milnerton branch. So much for "It's this shared culture of teamwork, continuous improvement and the utmost integrity that distinguishes Tenneco." Utmost integrity should not lead to the sale of defective products to customers.
