Voucher doesn't state 3 months, were told a yea

My daughter purchased a gift voucher for a back massage and nails to be done on 20/12/2012 and was told it was valid for a year even though the lady had written on it that it was only valid for one day.
I made my booking yesterday for November, and was called today and told the voucher is only valid for 3 months although there is nothing printed on the voucher giving any T&C's.
This to me is totally unacceptable.
