Increase dispute

I started working for aegis in 2012 January 11th in the roadside department of Merc in april we were reviewed for annual increase I received the highest increase in my department as I was 3rd agent of the year and best quality agent in 2012
in march i had the opportunity to apply for an admin position in Finance which i was promoted to and on 22nd march i was contacted on my cell from a cell to say i was successful. Finance agents are more qualified so the basic salary is higher on 1 april when received my increase letter aegis knew for a week i was being transferred to a new department but my increase still was based on my old salary and thought they would amend this as they knew i was being transferred to a new position still at merc i refused to sign the contract
because of this and never received a letter of employment forfinance its been 5 months emails back and forth and no one wants to take responsibility for this
I was admitted to hospital for 7 weeks and during this time aegis lost their contract with merc and was taken over by merchants and i was not there during the hand over period aegis not contacted me in this time and had to investigate by all this by myself
