I haven't owned a TV since 2010 when it was. In the mean time I got married and my wife owns a tv licence for our current TV.
I have now contacted the SABC and Schaik de Fries attorneys handling debtors accounts probably 5 times,
with the following information:
- Both my wife and my ID documents,
- The claim no, and insurance company claim we lodged that was paid out for the TV back in 2010. I dont have the SAPS case no.
- Proof of current address.
- Our marriage certificate
- Letter explainiong the query
Issue with SABC:
1) I was still billed from 2010 till now with interest (I paid this now just to get the account closed)
2) Refusal of SABC to cancel my account/TV Licence for the TV
3) Refusal of SABC to refund the money since 2010.
4) Being billed since 2010 and continiuing...
So thus next year this time I am owing another year tv lic being contacted by the attorneys for due tv licence again! and SABC once again not being able to cancel due to outstanding money then again!!
Cancel my account now! And refund me, I provided all the proof of tv etc.
