On their web site Wood Strippers of Wetton Cape Town claim to provide " fast, safe and cost effective service offering good value for money and customer satisfaction " In my experience this could not be further from the truth. In February i handed them my solid Maple cupboard doors which they subsequently irrepairably damaged in their " dipping process ". Despite requesting two quotations to replace the doors (the lowest quote being (R36958.00), I have not received a cent in compensation from Wood Strippers. Instead i have received pages of correspondence saying why they are not responsible together with letters from their attorney demanding payment of their account - yes they want to be paid for destroying my doors! In the meantime I have a kitchen without doors. I have reported them to the Consumer Protector as this is sheer abuse of a customer particularly as Mr Voerman the owner of Wood Strippers had assured me beforehand that my doors were in experienced, safe hands. For anyone considering taking their valuable furniture to Wood Strippers - BE WARNED!!!
