I employed IBE, Managing Director Byron Schmidt to quote on Corporate Clothing in May '13. A Sales Representative, Charlene Faria called on me & provided a quote after numerous visits to bring me samples. After a very specific colour scheme which suits our brand design was chosen, Charlene quoted me & I was asked to pay a deposit as per the final sales order. a mere 2 hours later a payment was made from our side.
3 days later I got an email from Charlene to say that they were out of stock on Jackets & that they could give us other colors in the range or another brand at over double the price, or we would need to wait until October. I explained that this was unsatisfactory & that we would like to cancel the order as people wear jackets in winter, not summer. She said that there would now be a handling fee as they sent the remaining garments to the embroider. I called the MD, BYRON SCHMIDT & he explained that the garment are not yet embroided but they will still need to charge me the handling fee. I never agreed to the handling fee & Byron slammed the phone down on me. Today I got a refund but I was charged a handling fee.
This is illegal & BYRON SCHMIDT is a!
